The Preamble of constitution of India is a introductory statement that sets out the guiding principles of the document.
the preamble enshrines certain ideals from the objective resolution adopted by the constitution of india.
the preamble is also the aim to create India a sovereign, secular, democratic and republic country.
the terms socialist, secular and integrity in the preamble are added by 42nd amendment act ,1976.
the preamble aims to provide justice, liberty , equality, fraternity and integrity to the people of this nation.
preamble is not enforceable by courts. it is non-justifiable.
in berubari case, the supreme court held that “preamble is not a part of the constitution” but in Keshvananda bharathi case, the SC reversed the earlier verdict and said “preamble is a part of the constitution and is subject to amending power of the parliament, provided the basic structure is not destroyed”
Constitution should be read and interpreted in the light of grand and novel vision expressed in the preamble.

Conclusion seems abrupt.
Pavan says
Preamble acts as the index of the core values and principles of Indian constitution. Though Indian preamble is made non-justiciable in nature,it serves the interests of the citizens.
Indian preamble inspired by US Constitution highlights the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity essential for a proper social order in the society. The nature of India as a nation is expressed by adopting the likes of sovereign, democratic, republic.
42nd amendment has further strengthened the idea of nation by the induction of words secular and socialist to represent the religious and economic fabric of India. The terms unity and integrity represent the the bond of Indianess.
Though preamble is non justiciable in nature,it acts as a moral obligation on government to fulfill the values and principles adopted in it and not to deny the citizens their rights and freedom of speech, expression and faith.

Good answer Pavan.

The Preamble, enshrines the philosophy of the Indian politics.
First few word of it “we the people of India” suggest that the ultimate power lies in the hands of the people.
It is a democracy in real sense indicating the rule by the people, for the people and of the people.
Justice, equality, liberty and fraternity are most sought concepts embodied here. It is made clear that justice must be provided in all the spheres of social, economic and political by further narration. Liberty is given of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship. The concept of equality in a matters of opportunities and of status in not based on similarity concept however, but is to be followed with classification.
On the other hand, while explaining the nature of political system, it says a “Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic” state to India. For nationalization socialistic pattern is not meant but it is for equal distribution of wealth and resources. Respect for all religion in the meaning of the secularism.

Good answer.
You may want to mention the robustness of Preamble, whether it can be justified / altered and how it’s important for constitution itself to contain in Preambles realm.
